Since there are a number of treatments for patients with prostate cancer and benign hyperplasia, we have provided you with an overview of the currently utilized techniques at the West German Prostate Center on the following pages.

The team of the West German Prostate Center offers an entire spectrum of diagnostics and therapy for patients with prostate diseases:

• Radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate)
• Lymphadenectomy
• Prostate resection (TURP)
• Open prostatectomy (transvesical prostate enucleation)
• Greenlight laser therapy for benign prostate hyperplasia
• LIFE™ diode-laser therapy for benign prostate hyperplasia
• TUNA (transurethral needle ablation) for benign prostate hyperplasia
• Surgical therapy treating urethral stricture (narrowing of the urethra)
• Incontinence surgery (collagen injection, urethral banding)
